This course aims to provide all 10 project management (PM) knowledge areas and all five process groups to information technology (IT) projects. As you will learn, the project management knowledge areas are project integration, scope, time, cost, quality, human resource, communications, risk, procurement, and stakeholder management. The five process groups are initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing. The course also provides practical lessons in project management for students and practitioners alike. By weaving together theory and practice, this text presents an understandable, integrated view of the many concepts, skills, tools, and techniques of IT project management. • Understand the growing need for better project management, especially for IT projects • Understand the role of project managers by describing what they do, what skills they need, and career opportunities for IT project managers • Study the systems view of project management and how it applies to IT projects • Understand organizations, organizational structures, and organizational culture, project management methodologies, processes • Learn and utilize PM knowledges: integration, scope, time, cost, quality, human resource, communications, risk, procurement, and stakeholder managements • Understand ethics of a manager, copyright, and standard;
